Munn Park - Downtown Lakeland Please join us for the annual Lights for Life Holiday Concert and Tree Lighting in Munn Park in Downtown Lakeland.
Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation’s Lights for Life Campaign is an annual corporate and individual fundraising campaign for Children’s Services at LRMC. We are proud to announce the kick off of a new three-year campaign with a goal of $2.5 Million + for LRMC’s Pediatric Emergency Department. Our community has quickly outgrown the current space, which was created twenty years ago and with anywhere from 85 – 100 visits per day, our department is struggling to meet the patient demands. The dollars generously donated from our community will fund the creation of a new space for the Pediatric Emergency Department which means more treatment rooms, a dedicated waiting area, new state-of-the-art emergency equipment, overflow capability, a consultation room and the same outstanding care by our nursing staff and physicians.
Each year, more than 200 caring community members step up to support our Lights for Life project and we are currently accepting donations and support. Contributors of $1,000 or more will be recognized in Munn Park the night of the event.
The Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation’s Lights for Life concert and tree lighting ceremony will be accompanied by several children’s activities throughout the park manned by LRMC employees.
Activities include:
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm - Holiday Concert by the George Jenkins High School Chorus,
7:00 pm - The Lights for Life Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, glittering with thousands of lights in honor and memory of loved ones,
5:30 – 7:30 pm - Children’s Holiday Activities—Holiday Tattoos, Fingercast Puppets, Balloons and more in Munn Park.
There is no charge for these activities.

LRMC-Room B-201 The Foundation will serve you a healthy boxed lunch while LRMC staff educate you about the importance of having an advance directive, which is a legal document that tells healthcare providers who it is that you wish to make medical decisions for you and what treatments you would want or not want, if you are ever not able to tell care providers what you would want in a medical emergency or life-limiting illness.
Afterwards, we’ll tour you through the brand new LRMC Center for Advancing Quality of Life. This unit offers palliative care, which is compassionate care for patients and families facing a serious illness affecting their quality of life. The home-like environment created by the Center is as close to home as hospital patients can feel.
