How Your Gift Helps

Cardiology

We’re Helping To Build A Heart Smart Community

Thanks to the philanthropy of a caring and giving community, Lakeland Regional Medical Center has been able to build the largest and most comprehensive heart program in Polk County. Philanthropic gifts have made a difference in countless lives, and may one day save the life of a loved one.

Offering everything from prevention programs and innovative diagnostics, to the medical management of congestive heart failure and complex open-heart procedures, your generous contributions have enabled The Heart Center to continually raise the level of compassionate care that we provide.

The Foundation has raised more than $500,000 for Lakeland Regional Heart Center cardiology patients to purchase surgical lasers, defibrillators, and operating equipment as well as provide educational programs & grants for research.

They do a great job teaching what’s expected to survive and deal with this disease. It was there that I learned how to eat healthy, take care of myself and my diabetes – the right way.

As I look back, I can’t remember anything bad that happened to me through the whole procedure. Everyone was so nice and so kind.
