Learning Programs for our patients and our staff
Each year the Foundation touches the lives of our community members through free community educational events on heart disease, breast cancer and many other medical issues. Additionally, the Foundation has funded educational programs available through the hospital’s interactive TV system as well as orientation information available to new patients in our Pediatric Center and Cancer Center.
Furthermore, the Foundation has a long history of providing funds to support education for our staff, including nursing certification, continuing education, and recognition. With the Foundation’s assistance, thousands of hospital staff members have upgraded their skills, learning about new technologies and treatment methods. Additionally, numerous innovative workforce solutions have been researched and implemented making nursing staff more effective in their jobs.
The Foundation raised more than $1 million for the continuing education for the people of our community and our staff.
